Alexis Sanchez MISSES Chile game: Man Utd successful request revealed

ALEXIS SANCHEZ will miss Chile’s friendly with Peru this week – after Manchester United requested he does not travel with the team.
Manchester United star Sanchez has endured a mixed start to the Premier League season.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona gem has scored just once for the Red Devils all term.

He only joined United back in January when leaving Arsenal on a free transfer.

Yet he won’t be able to rekindle his form for Chile in a friendly versus Peru this week.
That’s because Sanchez currently doesn’t have a visa to travel to the United Staes, where Chile vs Peru is being played.

The match in Miami kicks off at 1.30am UK time on Saturday morning.

United had to ask for special dispensation for Sanchez to join them on their pre-season tour of the USA in the summer.

But Alexis Sanchez will not be in Miami this weekend, with Chile’s Football Federation confirming his only action during this break will be in a friendly in Mexico on Wednesday morning.
“Alexis Sanchez will only participate in the match against Mexico,” the ANFP stated.

“This after the recommendation of his club not to hinder the efforts of regularisation of his visa with the United States, the country in which the game against Peru will be played.”

Sanchez has to request dispensation to travel to the US after he accepted a 16-month suspended jail sentence in Spain earlier in 2018 for tax fraud.

A visa waiver scheme exists in the States for those found guilty of fraud.
Whether or not Sanchez will play against Mexico in Chile’s second friendly of the international break remains to be seen.

After all, he is expected back at Manchester United for their 12.30pm Premier League clash with Chelsea the following Saturday.
