Man Utd news: Has Paul Pogba taken ANOTHER swipe at Jose Mourinho with these comments?

PAUL POGBA appeared to aim another dig at Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, insisting: ‘I don’t need to be captain’.
The United midfielder is on international duty with France but found time to take aim at his boss in the latest show of animosity between the pair.

He was asked if he would like to be captain of the French national side one day.

And the 25-year-old said: “I’ve never played in the France team to be captain, being here is already a big thing for me.
“You don’t have to be captain in order to speak, a leader is not someone who has the armband.
“As a leader you can talk on the pitch but I’ve seen leaders who didn’t necessarily talk.”

Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy at United by Mourinho after the Frenchman criticised his tactics.

After a lacklustre 1-1 draw with Wolves at Old Trafford last month, the France star said he wanted the team to ‘attack, attack, attack’.

Mourinho acted quickly by releasing Pogba of his responsibilities in a public display of defiance and the pair were involved in a frosty training-ground exchange the following day.
And it is reported that Pogba will ask to leave if Mourinho is still the manager at the end of the season.

That might prompt Barcelona back into action after they failed with a bid of around £45million to sign him in the summer.

Other senior United players are said to be frustrated with Mourinho’s methods, and there are ELEVEN United players whose deals are expiring in the summer.
That includes key figures such as David de Gea and Anthony Martial (although United have an option to extend for one more year).

Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw are also out of contract.

Veteran Ashley Young will be looking for a new deal beyond his current one that ends in 2019, while fringe player Matteo Darmian’s contract is up but United have the option for another year.
