My client Stacy visited my facility twice before her death – Obengfo hospital CEO

Stacy Offei-Darko, the late the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP) had visited the Advanced BodySculpt Centre, Obengfo Hospital twice before her demise, the hospital’s chief executive officer, Dr Dominic Obeng Andoh has revealed.

Dr Obeng Andoh has therefore refused to take any blame for the late Stacy’s death because according to him, the liposuction done on her was successful and came with no complications.

“My client came for liposuction and I later heard that she had died but she didn’t die as a result of the liposuction because there were no complications associated with the procedure. She has been at my hospital twice and so why would she come back again for the second time if indeed we didn’t do a good job,” he quizzed.

Stacy Offei-Darko passed away at the Obenfo Hospital in Accra on Monday, May 21, 2018.

And, the hospital’s authorities allegedly deposited her body at the morgue four days after her death without informing her family members.

According to Stacy’s family, her body was deposited at the morgue within four hours after her death but they were informed about the incident three days after.

The development infuriated the family and friends of the deceased leading to the arrest of Dr Obeng-Andoh.

But Dr Obeng-Andoh on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday denied depositing her body at the morgue four days after her death.

“It’s not true that we kept her body and deposited it at the morgue for 4 days. That didn’t happen. If someone loses his or her life at a hospital, can the body be at the morgue after four days? No. We did nothing untoward as far as her death was concerned. I won’t make any further comments because the issue is still in court,” he stated.
