Owusu Bempah ripped apart for claiming NDC offered him $1m and V8

Founder of the Glorious Word Ministry, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has been criticized on social media for claiming that he was offered $1 million by the opposition NDC during the 2016 elections.

In an interview with Accra-based Okay FM, the pastor said he was offered the money in addition to a Landcruiser V8 but he rejected it.

According to him, the NDC tried to buy him onto their side, but he stood firm because his spirituality cannot be bought.

“Even NDC offered to give me a V8. They wanted spiritual guidance but I rejected the offer although I also prayed for them,” Owusu Bempah stated.

However, his comments seem not to have gone down well with many citizens, who took to social media to tear him apart.

While some described him as an attention seeker, others held that his latest utterance is only a diversionary tactic to cover up the controversial AMERI deal that has hit the government.

One Facebook user wrote: “Why do you people call this man Reverend? Are you crazy?”

Another added, rather sarcastically: “I hate hanging statements, instead of you to mention the name, is NDC a person? Nyantakyi is the only bold politician in Ghana.”

One other person said: “All these diversionary tactics will not wash, who is he for anyone to offer him that?”

Another Facebook user also decided to accuse Owusu Bempah of bleaching.

He wrote: “Bleaching prophet do you think you can be fair like Majid?”
