Cabbie Goat Thief Escapes Lynching

THE TIMELY arrival of the police at a scene near Abrafi Estate in the Techiman Municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region saved a 38-year-old taxi driver, Kofi Appiah, alias Barima Nkwaen, from further beatings.



He was alleged to have stolen sheep. He was severely beaten to the extent that he sustained cuts on his forehead and other parts of his body. DAILY GUIDE has gathered that the police took him to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident happened last Saturday between the hours of 1 and 2pm.

Some neighbours identified him to be a taxi driver. According to them, he is notorious for stealing goats and sheep under the guise of driving a taxi cab.
