Chelsea transfer news: N’Golo Kante replacement lined up as PSG plot £100m-plus raid

CHELSEA are reportedly making plans in case Paris Saint-Germain prise N’Golo Kante away from Stamford Bridge.
Kante has emerged as the Ligue 1 giants’ primary transfer target as they look to bolster their 2017/18 title-winning side.

And Goal claim PSG chief Antero Henrique is prepared to give the midfielder a pay bump of £100,000 a week to head to the Parc des Princes.

PSG will have to mirror their willingness to hand Kante a £220,000-a-week deal by stumping up a mammoth transfer fee.
Chelsea will demand in excess of £100m for the France international, who is comfortably one of their most important players.
Goal indicate PSG could offer Adrien Rabiot to Chelsea as part of an agreement for Kante.

However, it seems Chelsea have another player in mind to take over the 27-year-old’s role in midfield.

Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele is said to be in the west Londoners’ sights following an impressive campaign at the Groupama Stadium.
Chelsea could bring forward their plans to snare Ndombele, who’s been capped at Under-21 level by France.

But their preference is to keep hold of Kante, who still has three years left to run on his current contract.

Chelsea could decide to open talks with the former Leicester star in a bid to stave off PSG.
The fact they will not be playing in the Champions League next season though might put Kante off signing on the dotted line.

Chelsea’s ability to attract fresh talent to Stamford Bridge is being impacted by uncertainty over who their manager will be.

Maurizio Sarri is yet to be appointed as Antonio Conte’s successor, who still has 12 months to run on his deal.

However, negotiations over Aleksandr Golovin’s arrival at Chelsea are believed to be at an advanced stage.
