New Chelsea manager: Eden Hazard delivers ultimatum over Antonio Conte

EDEN HAZARD has called on Chelsea to sort the uncertainty engulfing their club amid doubts over his own future.
Antonio Conte remains the manager of Chelsea despite reports linking the likes of Laurent Blanc, Luis Enrique and Maurizio Sarri with his job.

Conte has a year left on his contract but after clashing with the Chelsea board last season appears unlikely to complete his deal.

However, the Blues face having to pay £9million to Conte if they decide to sack him and the confusion surrounding the club is having an impact on Chelsea’s biggest name Hazard.
The Belgian had a mixed 2017/18 season and talks over a new contract have not resulted in an extension.

Chelsea want to make Hazard the highest paid player in their history on around £300,000-a-week.

When asked if his future will be determined by Chelsea’s summer business, Hazard said: “Yeah I want to know. I want to know, but like I say I am focused on the World Cup.

“If we have something new – manager or players – it is always good to know it because I want players that can [help bring success back to] Chelsea next season.
“But to be fair the transfer market is not here [in full flow] yet. We will see after.”

“At the moment I only focus on the World Cup,” he added.

“We had a bad season with Chelsea. We won the FA Cup at the end – so it was a little bit better but I’m only focused on the World Cup.

“Then I let the board manage Chelsea the best way that they can.”
