Mohamed Salah BANNED? Could Liverpool ace face retrospective action after Stoke clash?

MOHAMED SALAH looks to have escaped retrospective action after appearing to lash out at Stoke’s Bruno Martins Indi on Saturday.
The Liverpool winger has been in sublime form for the Reds this season.

But Salah had an unusually quiet afternoon against Stoke at the weekend.

The Egyptian missed a guilt-edged chance to open the scoring in the first half.

And it appears the referee missed something of his own, clearly not seeing Salah swinging his arm at an opponent during the clash.

The attacker was shielding the ball from Martins Indi in the second half when the incident happened.
The Stoke defender tried in vain to take the ball from Salah, who calmly protected it and passed it to a Liverpool team-mate.

But as the pair ran off to continue with the game, the Anfield favourite appeared to thrust his arm towards Martins Indi’s face.

Luckily no contact was made, and the Dutchman didn’t make a meal of the situation to get the referee’s attention.

But eagle-eyed fans caught the incident and shared numerous videos of it on social media.
However, former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher doesn’t think Salah will face any retrospective action.

“I would be astonished if that got processed for two reasons,” he told Sky Sports.

“A) he has flicked out, I will admit that, but B) if you look at it again, the referee [Andre Marriner] is looking directly at it and he could not be better placed, it is uninterrupted.”
