Ernest Green Granted Bail after allege rape of Italian patient

 

The Tamale High Court in Northern Ghana has granted bail to Ernest Green, an accused nurse of West Gonja Hospital on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Ernest Green was arrested on April 6 for allegedly raping an Italian National by name Malaita Daniela and was kept in Police custody. After the arrest of the accused, the Police lead an investigation to facilitate the docket to be processed to the Court. The Italian Embassy were also informed who also sent delegation to ensure the safety of the victim.

Family, Old Students of Adonten Senior High School and nurse of the West Gonja Hospital burst into joy when the court granted bail to the Ernest Green. Speaking on a telephone interview with the President of the 2011 ADOSA year group, Mr. Herbert Afianya, he mentioned that when the issue arose, they were all surprised and urged members to remain calm to allow the law to work.

“We were surprised when the issue arose and urged members to keep calm on our platforms to allow the law to take it course and also pray for him” Mr. Herbert said. He finally thanked all the Old Students, Nurses of the West Gonja Hospital, and the media for following the issues keenly.Some Old Students of Adonten Senior High School also took to social media to share their solidarity message to Mr. Ernest Green.

 

Former Assistant Headmaster of Adonten Senior High School, a former Teacher to Ernest Green and also shared on social media assured members to remain calm while the law takes it cause.

 

In additions, there were some concern Old Students of Adonten Senior High School who also took to social media to advocate for a fair hearing of Ernest Green with the hashtag #Justice4Green and JusticeforGreen.

Meanwhile, the Court has granted bail to Ernest Green and reports indicated that he is with his family.
