The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has described the host of Adom TV’s Badwam, Omanhene Kwabena Asante as a dishonest person.

The MP who appeared not to be happy with the host’s demeanor when he tried presenting proof of the Mahama-led administration’s involvement in the collapse of Merchant Bank, resorted to attacking his character.

Honourable Agyepong presented documents to buttress his allegations and later offered the document to the journalist to read.

The MP who got angered by the refusal of the journalist to read through the papers said, “ I am sure your pay masters called you this morning before you got in here, you are very dishonest “he said.

When asked what the content of the files was, he responded, “individuals in the NDC after Merchant Bank was pronounced bankrupt, borrowed money from it to buy it when it was auctioned”, adding that “how can private individuals borrow 40 million from a bank to buy that same bank”.

According to the law maker, the demeanor of the presenter suggested that he was in bed with the opposition NDC party

“Why are you uncomfortable with me talking of the corrupt deals of the NDC, have you gone for money from them?” he quizzed.

When the presenter questioned why he would say a thing like that to him, Kennedy Agyepong said” I know who you are, you always complain when I do not buttress my points with document you complain, today I have come with documents and you are refusing to read it” .

In his defense, Omanhene Kwabena Asante said the law maker had ambushed him with accusation

“First of all, I do not know where you got these documents from, more so the acquisition of Merchant Bank is not part of the topics for discussion today” he said
