Anthony Joshua writes his name into Guinness World Records book with latest accomplishment

ANTHONY JOSHUA has written his name into the Guinness World Records book as he helped to conduct the largest boxercise lesson of all time.

Joshua returned to London following his win against Joseph Parker to inspire more members of the public to take up the sport.

The world champion attended York Hall to help put on a 30-minute intensive workout to 541 participants.

Lucozade Sport Fitwater organised the event as part of their plans to get 1million people moving more by 2020.

Joshua took time away from negotiations with Deontay Wilder to help the local cause and he was delighted to be able to make history along the way.

“This idea is to get over 1million people moving and today we have achieved a world record,” Joshua told Lucozade Sport Fitwater.

“It gives loads of opportunities to connect with the community so it is a real positive partnership.

“We are trying to set a world record and we are making history.”
Joshua will now focus his full attention of negotiating with Wilder as he vows to unify the entire heavyweight division.

The Brit only needs to win the WBC belt to complete his collection following his WBO triumph against Parker.

A bout with Wilder is expected to be pencilled in for later this year as long as the American accepts an offer – of which the first two have already been knocked back.
