3Music Awards organisers incurred GHC200,000 debt after maiden edition?

The maiden edition of 3Music Awards successfully happened at the Fantasy Dome in Accra on March 24 this year but the organisers are in big trouble because of a Ghc200,000 debt they incurred after the event.

The boss of 3music Network, organisers of the show, Sadiq Abdulai, zionfelix.net gathers has said on Zylofon FM in Accra that they did not make a dime from the event which happened over the weekend. He is quoted to have said on the East Legon-located radio station that they lost Ghc200, 000 after organising the first edition of 3Music Awards.

Mr. Abdulai Abu explaining how they accrued the cost mentioned no sponsorship as a major factor in the loss. The event organiser added that he also paid for logistics and performance fee of artistes who were billed on the night even though he had no external support. Sadiq continued that majority of the patrons at the event were given complimentary tickets so he generated little from gate proceeds.



Even though he run at a loss, Sadiq Abdulai Abu thanked Ghanaians for the love they showed on the night. To him, the attendance that evening gave him a fulfillment and that almost made him cry on the night even though he has a whopping sum of Ghc200,000 to clear.

Artistes who performed at the show hosted by rapper D-Black and actress Joselyn Dumas were Stonebwoy, Obibini, Teephlow, Joyce Blessing, Joe Mettle, Sista Afia, Gallaxy, Kumi Guitar, Kurl Songx, Ex-Doe, Chicago, others.
