I’ll Face BOST MD In Court – COPEC Boss

The executive secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah, has served notice he is ready to face the BOST MD Alfred Obeng in court following alleged death threats on him.

Mr. Amoah blew a whistle on an alleged scandal at BOST where the storage company is being accused of selling 1.8 million barrels of crude oil to an unlicensed company – BB Energy- at a discounted price which caused financial loss to the state.

According to the COPEC boss, he has been receiving death threats after revealing the deal to the public. The BOST boss has sued Mr. Amoah over the death threat allegations.

Speaking on Starr Today, Mr. Amoah stated he is yet to be served with a copy of the suit but he is ready to face off with Mr. Obeng.

“This comes to me as news just as just as it comes to anybody,” he said. “I have not received any summons and whenever we are summoned we’ll make an appearance in court.”

The Tema Police command has also taken up the case.

“One would have thought that maybe the police will be allowed to finish their work but it has been jumped to the court. I’m saying that notwithstanding we’ll make an appearance in court,” he stressed.
