GES begins probe into viral ‘kitchen stool sex tape’

The Ghana Education Service has opened investigations into a viral video in which the headteacher of Adumanu D/A Basic School, Robert Sepey, is seen having sex with a young lady believed to be a third-year senior high school student.

Although the video seems to show the two had consensual sex, the headteacher has fled the community since the video reached millions of Ghanaians via Whatsapp and other social media platforms.

Public Relations Officer of GES, Cassandra Twum, says sanctions will be applied if Mr Sapey is found culpable.

“We also saw the video yesterday [Tuesday] and quickly we asked the Regional Director and the District Director to launch investigations into the matter,” she said.

She is hopeful a report will be ready by Thursday to determine the next step.

Remove all male teachers

Opinion leaders and youth of Adumanu in the Central Region, the community where the incident happened, are calling on the GES to remove all male teachers in the area.

They say the male teachers are engaging in illicit sexual activities with female students.

Facts intercepted

A preliminary report by the GES intercepted by Myjoyonline.com reveals the 19-year-old lady in the viral video and the headteacher were once in an amorous relationship but have ended it.

The video was recorded at Adumanu in the headteacher’s room almost a year ago after both of them have agreed to do so.

“The video was on the memory chip and her brother saw the video when he collected her phone to transfer songs. Other friends of her brother also saw the video and they decided to spread It because they had proposed love to her and she refused,” aspects of the intercepted report indicated.
