Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has held talks about signing Man City ace Kevin De Bruyne

REAL MADRID boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly held talks with club president Florentino Perez about signing Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.
Real Madrid are looking at overhauling their squad at the end of the season, with Manchester City star De Bruyne supposedly a target.

The Belgium international has been in devastating form so far this campaign, helping City open up a 15-point gap at the top of the Premier League.

As a result, talk is rife that the European elite would love to snap him up, with Barcelona previously mentioned as admirers.

But Spanish website Don Balon claim Real Madrid boss Zidane has held talks with Perez about bringing the playmaker to the Bernabeu.
Real’s need for reinforcements is obvious.

The club were on the receiving end of a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico last week.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have gone off the boil, while the jury remains out on Casemiro and Matteo Kovacic.

As a result, Real could look at strengthening in the middle of the park.
And Don Balon say Zidane has earmarked De Bruyne as a priority signing.

However, a move to Spain seems not to be in the offing.

De Bruyne is close to renewing his contract at City after his spectacular start to the season.

And Pep Guardiola will not let the former Chelsea star go – particularly to Real Madrid.
