Dwight Yorke reveals what Sir Alex Ferguson thinks about Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho ‘parking the bus’

Dwight Yorke has revealed details of a conversation he had with Sir Alex Ferguson about Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager is the Red Devils’ third boss since Ferguson retired back in 2013, tasked with the job of turning the club back into the nation’s best.
In his first season at Old Trafford he won the Europa League and EFL Cup, and had his eye on winning the Premier League this campaign.

But Manchester City are simply running away with the title, and settling for a second-placed finish seems to be the best United can hope for this season.
Mourinho has been criticised at times this year for failing to set teams up to attack, and instead, as the man himself coined, ‘parking the bus’.

He played very cautiously against both Liverpool and Manchester City – drawing the first fixture and losing the second.

And while it made some sense, given the attacking prowess of the two sides, it’s not what Ferguson would have done.
Speaking to beIN Sports about a recent conversation he had with Ferguson, former Red Devils striker Yorke revealed the Scot isn’t exactly against Mourinho’s style of play, as is sometimes suggested.
But, at the same time, Ferguson doesn’t believe Mourinho will ever change his cautious ways.
“He’s done that type of stuff as a manager throughout his career,” said Yorke.

“He’s been very successful doing it this way. I had this conversation with Sir Alex last week, and he can’t see him changing because if you’re successful this way, why would you want to change?”
