REAL MADRID have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga.

REAL MADRID have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Manchester United have been keeping an eye on the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, as they fear Real might try to swoop in for David de Gea.

Los Blancos have been trying to sign De Gea for a while and came close to landing him two years ago, but for a faulty fax machine.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been concerned that Real might go after Thibaut Courtois if they couldn’t land De Gea.

Courtois, who previously played for Atletico Madrid, hasn’t ruled out a move back to Spain one day.
At present, contract talks over a new deal have stalled.

But now according to the Daily Mirror, Arrizabalaga is set to head to the Bernabeu next summer.

The report says a £22million deal has been agreed, and that Florentino Perez has paid more than Arrizabalaga’s release clause to get his man.
This will come as a relief to United and Chelsea fans, who thought they would see their respective prize assets leave.

Real in the meantime, have a Club World Cup final to look forward to against Gremio tomorrow (5pm) in Abu Dhabi.

After that, they host Barcelona in El Clasico a week later (midday).
