I thought my accident on N1 will end my acting career – Nana Ama McBrown

One of the challenging moments of versatile Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown was her involvement in a near fatal accident with her boyfriend-Maxwell Mensah on the George Walker Bush highway in 2013.

The actress revealed that on her hospital bed, she felt it marked the end of her career considering the injury she suffered on her right arm; adding that it remains one of her challenging moments.

“In fact I really thought that was going to be the end of me because I feared my hand could be amputated. My late mum kept encouraging me that it is well…you will be fine as I laid on the hospital bed at the 37 Military Hospital”, she revealed to shocked students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) at its ‘Tek Talk’ series




She disclosed that all she labored for was lost through the accident as she had to commit a chunk of her resources into getting back on her feet and is grateful to God that she is back to shape and cruising better than before.

The actress, urged students to be prayerful and steadfast by pursing their dreams and building brands of originality and not do so under the shadow of others.

It would be recalled that the actress and her boyfriend in 2013 were involved in a horrific car accident on the George Walker Bush highway at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra with their Range Rover vehicle.
