KABA was my ‘son’ – Paul Afoko

Suspended National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Awentami Afoko has described former host of the late afternoon political show, Ekosii Sen on Asempa FM, Kwadwo Asare Boffour Acheampong (KABA) as a son whose death has left many hearts broken.

“This is the same building KABA interviewed me for the first time. Nana Yaa Brefo introduced me to him. In that interview I felt he was a very hostile man. The next person to interview was Hon Nana Akomea and the questions he asked made me believe he did a very balanced job, very incisive. My respect for him increased that day to the extent he came to my house and we met a number of times elsewhere. I took him as my son”, he revealed on Adom Fm.

On how he heard of his death, he disclosed that it was on social media but he thought it was one of that usual hoax stories

He, therefore, tried to verify the information making the rounds and sent a WhatsApp message directly to the phone KABA but till date it is yet to be delivered.

Mr Afoko expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the Multimedia Group and prayed that he will have peaceful repose in heaven.

“We who are left behind will have to take of what he has left behind, his wife and daughter and chart the path he followed by being incisive and objective”, he disclosed.
