Shatta Wale eulogizes late Terry Bonchaka

Self-proclaiming King of Dance hall music in Ghana, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale has eulogized the late Terry Bonchaka to mark the 14th year of the 21-year old musician’s passing.

The “Taking Over” hit maker took to his Instagram account and penned down some very touching words in memory of the artiste.

Shatta Wale praised the late musician for his uniqueness and his trademark way of dressing with a comb always found in his bushy hair.

The “Ayoo” song maker went on to reminisce the famous “Pulele” dance that became very popular and Ghana after it had been introduced by the musician.




The outspoken Dance hall artiste went on to reveal that it was through the efforts of Terry Bonchaka that King Ayisoba launched out as a mainstream artiste.

Shatta Wale who shared a picture of Terry Bonchaka went on to add that the late musician’s style of branding had gone a long way to influence the overall branding of many up and coming musicians.

The award-winning Dance hall artiste went on to reveal that Shaggy had revealed in one of his interviews that he had heard a lot about Terry but during his visit to Ghana, the musician had already passed away.

Recently, mother of the late musician, Mrs Charlotte Adjetey speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, revealed that she was suspicious of the circumstances surrounding her son’s death when he was being buried.

She made some explosive revelations and said she was convinced that someone was involved in the death of her beloved son.

Regan Mends who acted as manager for the “Zoozey” hit maker revealed that the 15th anniversary of the musician’s passing was going to be marked with a concert to eulogize the legacy of the musician who died in October 2003 in a fatal car accident.
