Liverpool News: Mohamed Salah hails squad as ‘family’ after stunning start

LIVERPOOL star Mohamed Salah insists he already feels like part of a ‘family’ over at Anfield.
Liverpool smashed their club-record transfer fee to sign Salah from Serie A giants Roma for £36.9million back in June.

The Egypt international’s arrival was initially questioned by fans given how he flopped at Chelsea during a previous stint in the Premier League.

But Salah has taken to life on Merseyside like a duck to water, scoring twice and registering an assist in his first four domestic appearances for his new club.

And the 25-year-old insists he is already at home with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.
“I’m very happy to have this start with the team and to help the team win points and win games,” he told the club’s official website.

“I’m very happy to be here, it’s like my family.

“I’m happy to be [at] the club with these players.”

Salah was hooked at half-time as Liverpool were battered 5-0 by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the weekend.
But he is eager to make amends when the Reds face Sevilla in the Champions League tomorrow night (7.45pm).

“We have to look forward to the next game, forget that result and play like before,” he added.

“I’m very, very excited to start the Champions League games at Anfield. I would like to win that game!”

Liverpool last won the competition back in 2005, where they famously overturned a three-goal deficit to beat AC Milan on penalties.
