Wayne Rooney: Everton ace given hour-long dressing down and faces two-week fine

WAYNE ROONEY was given an hour-long disciplinary dressing down after his drink-driving antics.
Ronald Koeman called Rooney in for talks after he was arrested last week.
And he told him, in no uncertain terms, to clean up his act.

Rooney will be fined two weeks wages – around £320,000 – if found guilty of drink-driving in court later this month.

And the former England captain has been told to give up his drinking habits if he wants to have a future at the club.
Koeman had given Rooney time off during the international break expecting him to relax.

But he went on a 10-hour binge and faces crunch talks with wife Coleen to save his marriage after he was picked up by police driving Laura Simpson’s car.

Rooney met Simpson on a night out and was allegedly driving her home from a night club.
Rooney had made a good start to life at Everton after joining from Manchester United this summer.

The former United and England captain, who retired from international football ahead of the Malta qualifier, has scored twice in three Premier League games.

The 31-year-old though could face a barrage from fans this week against Tottenham on Saturday.
