Barcelona terror attack missing: Boy, 7, feared dead after he became separated from mum

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD caught up the Barcelona terror attack is feared dead after he became separated from his injured mother during the atrocity.

Julian Cadman, who is thought to be British, was walking along with his mother when the terrorist’s van ploughed into tourists and locals in Las Ramblas, causing the mother and son to become separated.

His mother Jom Cadman was found in hospital in a serious but stable condition, but Julian remains missing.

His cousin, George Cadman, wrote on Facebook: “My cousin, Julian Alessandro Cadman is missing. Please like and share. We have found Jom (his Mum, my cousin-in-law) and she is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

“Julian is 7 years old and was out with Jom when they were separated, due to the recent terrorist activity. Please share, especially if you have family or friends in Barcelona. Thank you.”

Julian is thought to be British as he is pictured wearing a school jumper from a nursery in Kent, but Australian reports have suggested he now lives in Sydney.

His father is believed to have flown from Sydney to search for his little boy, according to reports.

He is thought to have relatives who live in the UK, although his aunt and uncle who are searching for him live in Australia’s Sydney.

The Spanish authorities have only detailed that there are victims from at least 18 countries: Argentina, Australia, China, Belgium, Cuba, France, Spain, Holland, Hungary, Peru, Romania, Ireland, Greece, Macedonia, Italy and Venezuela, without specifying whether they were wounded or deceased.

Desperate families have launched frantic searches for their missing loved ones caught up in the horrors, after the death toll rose to 14.

A “small number” of Britons have been injured in the attack.

A Belgian woman, Italian father Bruno Gulotta and three-year-old girl have also been named as among the dead.

American tourist Jared Tucker, 43, has also been reported missing after he became separated from his wife as the chaos unfolded, killing 13 people.

Mr Tucker was on holiday with his wife Heidi when the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists struck.

His brother-in-law, Kalani Kalanui, told local media: “They were walking through downtown when he stopped to use the restroom.

“Moments later all hell broke loose and Heidi was swept up in the terrified crowd and she lost sight of Jared.”

Among the 100 injured are 26 French people, 11 of whom are seriously injured and an Irish family who were on holiday in the Spanish city.

Australia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Julie Bishop, confirmed four Australian citizens have been injured, while one remains unaccounted for.

The mayor of Tongeren, east of Brussels, confirmed a woman from the town had died during the atrocities.

Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders also confirmed that two Belgians were wounded in the attack, one of them seriously.

Three Germans are also believed to be dead, according to reports.

ISIS have claimed responsibility for the horror van attack, which has claimed the lives of 13 people and injured 100 people.

One woman was also killed during the second terror attack in Cambrils.

Five suspected terrorists, wearing fake explosive belts, were killed in a dramatic shootout with Spanish police in Cambrils, south west of Barcelona after carrying out a copycat attack.

Authorities investigating the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils believe a terror cell of eight people may have been involved and had been planning to carry out further attacks using gas cannisters.
