Man Utd transfer failure: Miguel Gutierrez snubs Jose Mourinho for Real Madrid stay

MANCHESTER UNITED manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly failed in an attempt to convince Real Madrid prodigy Miguel Gutierrez to move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United seem to have spent much of the summer chasing after Real Madrid’s best players.

Back in July, talk was rife that Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to make a sensational return to the Red Devils after growing frustrated with life in Spain.

The Portugal international has been accused of tax fraud and, consequently, was said to desire a move back to England.

They then tried to sign Alvaro Morata, but Real’s reluctance to negotiate ultimately saw the Spain international move to Chelsea instead.
And then there is Gareth Bale who, despite saying he wants to stay at the Bernabeu, remains on Mourinho’s wishlist.

However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Mourinho has failed in an attempt to sign a lesser-known name.

Gutierrez is one of Real’s brightest prospects for the future and, aged just 16, has the potential to become their defensive stalwart for years to come.
Yet Mourinho was supposedly keen to lure the youngster to the Premier League.

It is said that the Manchester United manager was awed by his natural ability and wondered if he would be interested in swapping Real for the English side.

But Gutierrez instead remains commited to the Real cause and told Mourinho to forget about pursuing him.
