Philippe Coutinho in training protest as he forces Barcelona move – claims stun Liverpool

PHILIPPE COUTINHO is attempting to force through a move to Barcelona by performing poorly in training, according to sensational claims.
Coutinho is Barcelona’s top target after they lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.

But Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp have been adamant the Brazilian will not leave Anfield.

However, according to Yahoo Sport, Coutinho is trying to force Liverpool into selling him.

The report claims the 25-year-old has told Jurgen Klopp TWICE that he wants to leave and is angry with his insistence that no transfer will happen.

A source also claims Coutinho is “doing little in training” and “wants to ensure he gets his move”.
Coutinho missed the 3-1 win over Athletic Bilbao with “a sore back” but his fitness wasn’t expected to be a problem ahead of their first game of the Premier League season against Watford on Saturday.

But if the claims are accurate it puts his participation for Liverpool in this weekend’s match in major doubt.

Reports in Spain this morning suggested Barcelona had sent a delegation to England to discuss a deal with Liverpool for Coutinho.
Liverpool have already rejected a £72million bid from the Catalans and Klopp said publicly: “If you say he is not available to be sold, where is the interpretation?”

“The word ‘not’ means there is no interpretation. There is nothing new.”

Coutinho signed a five-year deal with the Reds in January and went on to finish the season with 14 goals.

When discussing Coutinho’s future, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher predicted there would be a riot if the Brazilian left the club.
He said on Sky Sports: “I think he will stay. I think Liverpool will have him for 12 months.

“He will want to go. Who wouldn’t want to go? It’s Barcelona. Coutinho will want to wear that shirt and there’s nothing wrong with that.

“But I don’t think there’s any way Liverpool will sell him. Not a chance of him going. I think the owners are in a position where they can’t afford to let him go.

“This window hasn’t been good for Liverpool. There would be a riot if he went – against the owners and against the club.”
