Danny Rose: Tottenham send not for sale message to Manchester United

Tottenham sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50million in July and look set to start the season with just one fit recognised full-back in Ben Davies due to injuries to Kieran Trippier and Rose.

Rose missed the end of the 2016/17 campaign because of a knee injury but is expected in full training soon.

Manchester United were linked with a move for the 27-year-old in January and the player admitted to he spoke to Mauricio Pochettino about the interest.
And newspaper reports suggested United were ready to rekindle their interest with a bid.

But the London Evening Standard say United boss Jose Mourinho will have to look at other options because Spurs will resist any offers from them and Inter Milan.

It is claimed coach Mauricio Pochettino has been told he will not be forced to sell any more of his players in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Spurs are the only club in the Premier League not to have signed a player this summer.

And with less than a week until the start of the season, Pochettino is keen on making a couple additions.

He said: “We are working, trying to add some players to the squad.

“Our idea was, the same as before, to try to provide the team with more strength and try to sign a few players before the end of the transfer window.”
