I respect gay rights but I’m not one – Blogger

Ghanaian-UK based celebrity blogger, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri has refuted rumours that he is homosexual.

The founding editor of GhanaCelebrities.com said he has been described as such because he advocates for ‘Gay’ right in the country.

According to Agyapong Febiri even though the behaviour of homosexuals may be appalling and the society they live in frowns on their conducts, they should be allowed to exercise their rights as citizens of the country.

“This is quite an interesting perception, it’s like saying someone who advocates for animals right is an animal and that is a kind of nonsense conception that we have with Ghanaians.

“The reason why people will say Chris is gay because I’m a sort of human right advocate and I live in a country where gay right is very important… I live in the United Kingdom and they have the right to whatever… I attended a law school with a Degree in Law and two masters in law.”




He said Gays right should be respected and not to be infringed upon once they are legally recognized as citizens of the country.

“No matter how appalling you see their behaviour or conduct, even if you don’t agree with people who are said to be gay, you can’t kill them, you can’t beat or lynch them since they are humans as we all and their rights should be respected. So because of such advocacy that Afia described me as gay but I’m happily married and even before I got married I had a girlfriend. There’s no truth to that,” Chris-Vincent Agyepong Febiri told Feeling Daddy on Empire Entertainment Review.

Commenting on his tussle with most Ghanaian celebrities, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri claimed celebrities are sensitive and hyper.

According to him, celebrities prefer subjective stories which make journalists not being truthful.

He said in all his publications, he has bent on reporting the fact about the celebrities and that usually ends up being a squabble between Ghanaian celebrities and him.

“There’s one thing with these celebrities, the moment you’re friends with them they think everything you write about them should be favourable to them and to me that isn’t journalism,”Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri said on Empire FM.
