Paul Pogba: Zlatan Ibrahimovic remains a huge leader at Manchester United

PAUL POGBA insists Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still a big leader at Manchester United.
Ibrahimovic was released by Manchester United last month to spell the end of his first season in the Premier League.

The 35-year-old finished as United’s top scorer with 28 goals in all competitions but an injury suffered in United’s Europa League quarter-final win over Anderlecht kept him out for the remainder of the season.

United opted against offering Ibrahimovic an extension on his contract with the Swede not expected back to full fitness until the turn of the year.

But Pogba insists Ibrahimovic remains an integral part of United’s squad and wants to learn from his leadership attributes.
“Obviously Zlatan is a leader, always a big leader, and he’s a big leader because he’s still in the team, even if he’s not playing he’s a leader outside of the pitch.

“I’ve been playing for one season, I came here to hopefully be a leader in the team and that’s not like the objective but that’s how you should be, I’ve been here, we won, and you want to grow up as a player and a leader as well.

“I can learn from him, from Carras, all the other players and become a leader.”
Pogba is expected to start in Manchester United’s match against Barcelona on Thursday and the France international is looking forward to pitting himself up against the best in the world.
“Everybody knows Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he added.

“It’s a good test for us, we want to play the best teams, beat the best teams and become the best team, and we want to get ready for the Super Cup as well.”
