Atik’s suspension travesty of justice – Mornah

The National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Bernard Mornah has described as unlawful the suspension of the General Secretary of the party Atik Mohammed.
“There is travesty of justice and I think that our constitution was turned on its head and as National Chairman I can’t supervise over such blatant abuse of our constitution,” he decried in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM Monday July 24, 2017.

Atik Mohammed was indefinitely suspended following a vote-of-no confidence passed on him Saturday July 22, 2017.
His suspension comes after his public attacks on the party’s 2016 flagbearer Dr. Edward Mahama following his acceptance of an ambassadorial appointment under the ruling government.
According to Mr. Mornah, who was also critical of the appointment, he will call a National Executive Committee Meeting to get the suspension reverted, saying “I was really, really scandalized when I heard the news.”
