Real Madrid News: Kylian Mbappe ready to challenge Cristiano Ronaldo if Monaco star joins

REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo could find himself challenged by Kylian Mbappe if the Monaco star seals a stunning transfer this summer, reports claim.
Real Madrid are currently pressing ahead with their transfer business as they aim to build on last year’s La Liga and Champions League double.

The Spanish giants’ top target is Monaco’s Mbappe, who enjoyed a terrific breakthrough season at the Ligue 1 giants.

The 18-year-old bagged 26 goals across all competitions to inspire Leonardo Jardim’s side to a first title triumph in 17 years.

As a result, the European elite are circling with Real Madrid battling with Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s own future is up in the air, with the Portugal international reportedly keen to leave Spain after being accused of defrauding the tax authorities between 2011 and 2014.

But, should he stay, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim he is wary of the challenge Mbappe may pose if the teenager makes the move to the Bernabeu.




It is said the 32-year-old is threatened by Mbappe and unhappy that Zinedine Zidane believes the youngster is a Ballon d’Or winner in the making.

Ronaldo likes being Real’s No1 player and he is also aware the Monaco star will join fully wanting to oust him as the face of the club.
The report adds the former Manchester United star will only remain at the club if Real help sort out his tax issues.
United themselves have been mentioned as a possible destination should he depart but Express Sport understands Old Trafford chiefs are not pursuing a deal.

And that could pave the way for a move to PSG, who are aiming to bounce back after their poor season under Unai Emery.
