Arsenal agree personal terms with Monaco winger Thomas Lemar – report

ARSENAL have agreed personal terms with Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, according to reports.
Arsenal have not been afraid to splash the cash this summer and snapped up Alexandre Lacazette for a club-record fee of £52million this week.

Bosnia and Herzegovina international Sead Kolasinac has also joined the Gunners on a free transfer from German side Schalke.

And according to The Sun, Monaco star Thomas Lemar could soon be on his way to the Emirates after agreeing personal terms with the north London club.

The report says a long-term deal worth £90,000 a week has been settled upon with the France international.
However, Arsenal reportedly face an uphill battle trying to convince Monaco to part with the influential winger.

The Ligue 1 champions are said to be determined to keep hold of Lemar and have slapped an £80m price-tag on the former Caen midfielder.

The Gunners are currently way off reaching the French side’s asking price and have kicked off negotiations with a £30m bid.

This has reportedly been rejected out of hand by the Ligue 1 side, as has a follow-up bid of £40m from the Premier League side.
Lemar has three years left to run on his current deal with Monaco and is yet to seek a contract extension.

French newspaper L’Equipe claimed this week the winger is holding off on committing his future to the Ligue 1 champions.

And he is said to have had his head turned by the interest from Arsenal.

Lemar made 55 appearances for Monaco last term, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists in all competitions.
