Senyo Hosi sues Kennedy Agyapong , others; demands GHC8,000,000

Senyo Hosi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bulk Oil Distribution Companies (BDCs) has sued New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong, Kencity Media and the Deputy Director of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Afia Akoto.

In a writ of sermons, the plaintiff is making 11 claims including an amount of five Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢5,000,000) for the injury to his character by Mr Kennedy Agyapong.

He is also demanding that a compensatory damages of three Million Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000,000) awarded against Kencity Media owned by the Assin Central Constituency lawmaker for injuring his reputation with an addition One million Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,000,000) against the MASLOC boss.

The maverick politician had alleged that Mr Hosi attempted bribing the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company; Mr Alfred Obeng Boateng with $1million in order that a supposed consignment of off-spec fuel sold to Movenpiina Company Limited would be reversed and sold to him (Hosi).

But according to Mr Agyapong, Mr Obeng Boateng rejected the said offer.

Reacting to the bribery claim in a radio interview, Mr Hosi denied the allegation.

“I find that very unfortunate, I have a lot of respect for Mr Kennedy Agyapong as an MP and I will advise that before he shares some kind of information, he should think through it a bit more, and get the necessary truth and understanding.”

“I don’t sell petrol, I don’t buy petrol and sell. What am I going to give somebody bribe for. If you are selling something for 6.5 and I’m going to give you a bribe for $1million, GH¢4.5million, how much am I going to pay for the product itself, what is the incentive there.”

“A lot of Ghanaians out there think that I am the guy who runs around with petrol in this country, its not true, I don’t run a single litre. “We are going to ask our lawyers to try and address that issue. I don’t think its too much of a problem …I have a hard earned reputation and I can’t entertain something like this but let me believe that it’s a genuine error on his part.”
