TEMA EAST CONSTITUENCY NPP DELEGATES CONFERENCE HELD

Hundreds of party delegates and members of the governing New Patriotic Party of the Tema East Constituency stormed the Assembly Hall of Our Lady of Mercy Senior High School yesterday for this year’s annual delegates conference.

 

The Conference is held annually for the leadership of the party to report and account to the members of the party.

Present at the conference were Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover (MP, Tema East Constituency and Deputy Minister for Transport), Mr. Alfred Boye (Acting Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NPP), Hon. Felix Nii Mensah Annang-La (Tema Mayor), Madam Rachel Tutu (Greater Accra Regional Treasurer) Chairman Brown of Ashaiman Constituency, Hon. Kwesi Poku Bosompem, Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling Station Executives, NPP Volunteer Groups, Members and the Media.

The acting Greater Regional Chairman thanked party supporters for their unflinching support in the 2016 elections. He urged them to keep supporting the party. He charged the leadership of the party to help supporters to access job opportunities and other opportunities that the government will provide.




The Metro Chief Executive of Tema assured members of his commitment to work hand in hand with the Members of Parliament of Tema and other leaders to create more opportunities for the members of the Party. He said that his doors were always open for engagement with party people on how to move the party and government agenda forward.

Hon. Titus-Glover expressed his appreciation to the party supporters for ensuring his massive re-election to Parliament. He used the platform to once again thank the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for giving him the opportunity to serve this nation as Deputy Minister for Transport. He reiterated his campaign promises to construct a hundred bed facility at the Manhean Health Center, construct an alternative road to community one from Tema Manhean, continue to support education in the constituency by the payment of fees, etc.

Hon. Titus-Glover asked supporters to pray for him and continue supporting him. He said members should be patient with him and the government and that they are doing everything possible to make them happy.

 

Hon. Titus-Glover mentioned that he will once again contest the party’s primaries that will lead to Election 2020 and therefore appealed to delegates and members to continue to support him. He said that he won’t disappoint them.

 

The Secretary and Treasurer of the party read their annual reports and account statements as required by the constitution of the Party.
