Mahama’s Murder: Suspects face prosecution July 6

Thirty-two out of the 58 suspects involved in the lynching of Major Maxwell Mahama will face prosecution on July 6, 2017.
The court which discharged 26 of the suspects were rearrested by the police as investigations continued into their alleged involvement in the case.

The Accra central district court also ordered that one of the suspects who claimed to be 17 years be sent to the senior correctional Centre until investigations confirm his age.
The prosecutor DSP George Amega pleaded with the court presided by Mr. Ebenezer Kweku Ansah to remand the accused in police custody to give more time for the police to continue their investigation.
Major Mahama was lynched in Denkyira Obuasi when he was mistaken to be an armed robber by residents of the town.
