Judge sacks Journalists from JB Danquah murder hearing

A District Magistrate Court Arit Nsemoh on Thursday, June 15, prevented Journalists from hearing the case of Daniel Aseidu and another, suspects in the murder of former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North.
She issued a strong warning to journalists from her bench not to enter her court for sitting on the committal proceedings on rearrested suspects Daniel Aseidu and Vincent Bosso.
She was heard audibly instructing Police officers to stop all journalists from entering the court room.
It is unclear what led to the judge’s decision.

The court sitting was, however, adjourned to June 29, 2017 because Police prosecutors say they are still awaiting the advice of the Attorneys General Department.
The suspects have been charged with murder and abetment of murder.
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, stabbed to death at his Shiashie residence in Accra.
Two days after his murder, police arrested a first suspect, Daniel Asiedu, who allegedly confessed to committing the crime.
Vincent Bossu, was later arrested as having conspired with Aseidu to commit the crime.
