Three BECE candidates die in Sissala East

Three candidates taking part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination in Sissala East have been reported dead.
Nine others have also failed to take part in the ongoing exams for unknown reasons.
This was disclosed by the Director of Education in the Sissala East district Leonard Ananobalong during a tour of the exam center in Tumu by the District Chief Executive Karim Nanyuo.
Though Mr. Ananobalong could not give reasons for their absence, he encouraged the candidates to do an independent work as the exam is the defining moment of their lives.

He said, “Don’t rely on anyone in writing this exam because whatever you are writing has been taught you by your teachers. So do independent work.”
He disclosed that the district registered 896 candidates for this year’s exam.
The DCE Karim Nanyuo on his part wished the candidates well and disclosed that, the Member of Parliament for the area Ridwan Abass has made provisions for three square meals to be provided for the candidates till they end.
