KABA must ask relevant questions about Mahama’s murder – Denkyira MP fumes

Host of Accra-based Asempa FM late afternoon political Show, Kojo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA) has been admonished to ask relevant questions about the gruesome murder of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama by residents of Denkyiri-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.

“Ask relevant questions if you need information from me as the Member of Parliament (MP) responsible for the area”, Hon. Nsowah Gyan told the host of “Eko Sii Sen” Show.

“KABA you are well-known and I do not expect you to ask questions that are irrelevant”, the honourable member of Upper Denkyira West Constituency fumed while answering questions about the arrest of prime suspects in the murder s of the late army officer.

The MP stated he personally aided in the arrest of William Baah, the Assembly man of the area and prime suspect who is said to have mobilized the residents to visit the attacks on the senior military officer until he died.

According to Hon. Nsowah Gyan, what he was told by the Assembly man before he led police to his arrest him from hideout was that Major Maxwell Mahama pulled pistol at the residents when a snail seller raised false alarm of he being an armed robber a day after suspected robbers have robbed the people.

He said the Assemblyman and the residents left the scene to arm themselves with deadly weapons where literally the whole community came out to lynch him.

The MP dismissed public opinion the attack was a plan overdue by the residents to kill personnel dispatched to the area to protect forest reserves and guard against illegal mining activities there.

“What I was told was that even the people do not know that the officer was a military man. They do not know him because the soldiers reside in nearby community not Boase where the unfortunate incident occurred. I even do not know him myself. He was killed before residents knew he was not an armed robber”.
