Ex-AIDS Ambassador goes bald to mourn husband

Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, a former ‘Heart to Heart’ HIV/AIDS Ambassador has shaved off all her hair as part of mourning rituals in honour of her late husband.

Ms Mensah, who announced her husband’s death on Facebook a few days ago, again took to social media on Thursday, 11 May to announce that she had been instructed by her husband’s family to go bald as part of widowhood rites.

According to her, their son has been asked to also go hairless as her husband’s tribe’s customs demand such.
