Miss Ghana still biggest pageant in Ghana

Although there have not been many activities to herald the start of this year’s Miss Ghana pageant, the PRO of this year’s edition of the beauty pageant, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, has assured Ghanaians that the event will be the most memorable yet.

In an interview with Showbiz, Mr Asamoah Baidoo said preparations were ongoing and a date for the official launch will be announced shortly but added that all parties involved are committed to the Miss Ghana organisation and were jointly planning to stage a show that will live in the memory of Ghanaians.

He said contrary to speculation, the Miss Ghana pageant and brand is still vibrant and is the biggest and most widely patronised in the country.




“There is no question that the Miss Ghana brand is still the biggest beauty pageant in the country. The brand Miss Ghana still commands massive respect and patronage all across the country, so in terms of nationwide popularity we are without competition,” he said.

“I can reliably confirm that there is no lack of qualified ladies waiting to pick up forms to contest the moment they become available,” he added.

Arnold said the massive appeal of the brand is one of the reasons the Government of Ghana has entered into a partnership with organisers of the pageant Exclusive Events Ghana to commemorate the 60th independence anniversary of the country.
