UNIGAPS HONORS TEMA MANTSE

The University of Ghana Association of Psychology Students (UNIGAPS) has honoured Nii Adjei Kraku II, the Paramount Chief and President of the Tema Traditional Council with a citation.
The citation was presented on 23rd August 2016 by Hon. C.Y. Amoah (Assembly Member for Homowo Electoral Area and a former President of UNIGAPS) on behalf of President Abel Nii Ashaley Ashiley, the executives and members of UNIGAPS.
This gesture was to appreciate the Tema Mantse and his elders on their great support to the association’s activities in Tema. On the 11th March 2016, UNIGAPS as part of their week’s celebration came to offer voluntary teaching and counselling services in four schools within the Homowo Electoral area in Tema after which they donated some teaching materials such as books, diaries, pens, pencils, dusters, markers, boxes of chalk and erasers. The schools were Manhean Methodist Basic School, Manhean TMA Primary School, St. Margaret School Complex and NAG Preparatory School.
The Tema Mantse and his outfit refreshed UNIGAPS and educated them about the history, custom and tradition of Tema at the palace after the exercise.

The Tema Mantse on receiving the citation expressed his sincere heartfelt appreciation to UNIGAPS and urged them to continue their great humanitarian services to society even as they study to improve upon their lives and that of mother Ghana.
The former President of UNIGAPS, Hon. C.Y. Amoah, assured the Chief and his elders that UNIGAPS will not relent on her effort to always give back society and mentor their siblings in the basic and senior high schools in Tema and across the country.
